Canucks Blank Predators 1-0

11/3/2025 • Neil Burkholder

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators threw their weight around but couldn’t solve Darcy Kuemper on Monday night, falling 1-0 to the Vancouver Canucks before a sold-out crowd of 18,000 at Bridgestone Arena.
Josh Norris provided the game’s lone goal midway through the second period, capitalizing on a Vancouver power play after defenseman Nick Jensen was whistled for roughing. Norris took a feed from Gustav Forsling and snapped a quick wrister past Tristan Jarry, who otherwise was superb with 25 saves and earned the game’s second star.
“We had looks, but we weren’t getting inside,” said Predators Head Coach Lane Lambert. “Kuemper saw too many pucks cleanly. Credit to him—he earned that shutout.”
Despite being outshot 26-15, Nashville controlled much of the physical play, outhitting the Canucks 28-24 and winning their share of faceoffs (32-39). Captain Jacob Trouba led the way with six hits and nearly 24 minutes of ice time, while forwards Lawson Crouse and Nino Niederreiter each generated multiple scoring chances on the man advantage.
Kuemper, meanwhile, was flawless, stopping every shot he faced to improve to 9-2-0 on the year. Nashville’s power play sputtered, going 0-for-3, and the penalty kill surrendered the decisive marker.
“That’s a tough one,” said GM Neil Burkholder. “Tristan gave us a chance, and defensively we were sound. We just have to find a way to finish when we’re playing at home.”
With the loss, the Predators drop to 4-10-0 on the season and will head to Minnesota tomorrow night
